Multiply the Teacher: Using Digital Technology to Transform Independent Writing Time

This session will look at ways in which we can maximise teaching and learning within the writing workshop.  We will explore how creating short videos and presentations, to teach small group strategy lessons or to scaffold and support students through predictable problems, can help us ‘multiply ourselves’ so as to reach more students in any given session.  Such work not only helps us to act upon our assessment data promptly and effectively, it can turn also transform our classrooms.

For ease of use, we will be using the Seesaw platform for this session, however all ideas can be easily be shared through other platforms such as Youtube, Google Drive or Edmodo etc.
