Information Fluency: Practical Tools and Strategies for Online Research

In today’s data saturated world students often struggle to locate, organise, evaluate and ethically use information from the web. This is a hands-on session that will walk educators through various tools, strategies and activities to teach information literacy to students. We will cover such topics as how to inspire inquiry questions, online search tips, databases, the evaluation of websites, paraphrasing strategies, auto-citation tools and where to find free-to-use multimedia content. The aim of this workshop is to provide educators with a variety of ideas and resources that can be easily integrated into the classroom!
